Explain me growth like I’m 5 years old

Consciousness

The state when you see your actions like they are the specific code instructions that your brain executes. You can reprogram yourself to solve problems differently and much more efficiently. Everyone has this set of instructions but you need to learn to start seeing them.

Mental Model

It’s a small specific subprogram of your big brain program (aka consciousness). You can learn to solve specific frequent problems efficiently with applying different mental models. (eg. “how to choose between multiple options faster” or “how to plan my work”).

Discipline

it’s when you agree to do something, usually regularly and you don’t miss the event, even if you have issues or don’t have the right mood to do it. Discipline is built only when you overcome difficult days.

Momentum

It’s when every day you get more measurable results than the day before. If you gained Momentum it’s a sign that things going crazy well. You need to build and keep up momentum yourself. Gain Momentum.

Focus Time / Deep Focus

It’s the period of time when you focus all your attention to 1 task. You work only on this 1 task and block all other distractions (turn off notifications, block email popups, turn off distracting music). Focus time leads to the Flow state.

Flow State

It’s when you don’t feel any difficulty to accomplish the task, even if it’s hard. Your thoughts and actions just pushes you forward. You need to train Deep Focus to get into Flow State often.

Specific Knowledge

It’s a unique skill that you have but others don’t. This skill feels like a play for you, but work for others. It takes time to find and develop your specific knowledge.

Perfectionism

The fear of clicking “publish” button.
